Making a Tech Blog

Designing and coding solutions to fix a variety of problems is a way of life for me.

I’ve been working in tech for the better part of 15 years now, and along the way I’ve done deep dives into the cloud, coding, infrastructure, and have made it all a huge part of my career. My day job keeps me pretty busy, but there’s always been a part of me that likes to explore, open new doors, and discover things I may not get to use at work.

In many ways, this blog will reflect how I learn, what interests me, and how I look for the edges of applying technology to solve a problem. My interests lie beyond the basic tutorial and getting started guides you find out there, may get a little more opinionated, and try to uncover where a technology doesn’t work. But in the end I’ll have something new in my toolbelt that I didn’t have before.

I’ll be mainly blogging about things that are unfamiliar or new to me, and not really related to my job. Maybe I went to a Meetup and heard a cool idea, maybe something out of the CNCF, who knows. I’ve got a whole list of subjects I want to hit.

I believe in stating your goals loudly so others can help keep you accountable, so with that said, my goal is to get 1-2 blog posts out per month. This means actually learning, writing, GitHubbing (that’s a verb now), and just making it part of my schedule.
